Forgot to Soak Rajma? Follow these steps to cook “swad se bharpoor” Rajma

STEPS to cook “swad se bharpoor” Rajma

  • Take Rajma and wash it properly 2-3 times.
  • Put Rajma in a cooker and add water & 1 tbs salt according to Rajma.
  • Let it cook for 10-15 mins and wait for 1 whistle.
  • After 1 Whistle remove the cooker from stove and transfer Rajma to another bowl with it’s water .
  • Let it cool for 25-30 mins. Till then cook gravy for Rajma.

STEPS to cook gravy for Rajma

  • In a Grinder add Green Chilly and before adding chilly slice in 3-4 psc, then add Ginger & sliced garlic & Salt 1tbps. Then Grind it well. Freshly pounded ginger, garlic and green chilli will give our rajma Spicy flavour. Keep it aside
  • Then, heat oil and butter in a Kadhai.
  • Add cumin seeds and let them crackle. Then add Onions & Saute till it turn golden brown.
  • Add the freshly grinded green chilli garlic and ginger paste.
  • Add tomato Puree or freshly cut tomato.
  • Mix well and cook in a medium flame for 5 minutes, while stirring.
  • Add Red Chilli powder, Coriander powder, Turmeric, Garam Masala & Salt to taste.
  • Mix well and cook in a medium flame for 5 minutes, while stirring.
  • Then Add Rajma along with it’s water and Mix it well.
  • Cook for 8-10 Mins and use potato masher to mash lightly.
  • After it is cooked then add Kasuri Methi & mix it well.
  • Add fresh cream, which would make our rajma creamy and even tastier & Mix it well.

Serve Hot Rajma with Roti or Rice
